Lesson 4 - Crystal Healing (part 7)
Our exploration of the use of colored crystals for healing now moves to the crystals with golden color hues. However, before we proceed we need to explain a little about the color wheel as only a simplified depiction of the natural world.
Our drawing and this course use a division of 12 colors, The estimates of how many colors we humans can see vary from about 1 million to about 8 million. Not wanting to do a million videos, we have “simplified” this a bit.
So, don’t worry if you cannot decide if a crystal is, for example, dark yellow, dark gold, or dark orange. The real world has a million shades. The uses and purposes are similar for all of those colors, so don’t be too exact in deciding the color of a crystal or trying to jam it into one of our 12 divisions.
Use your judgment and find out where it fits on the wheel. It might be a bit of one color and a bit of another nearby. Read the meaning around that spot and you will quickly find out where it fits in the Universe of color and have some good ideas of its energies and uses.
The color wheel is just a shortcut, a crib note, and a guide. The natural world doesn’t know the wheel. It just produces millions of colors of Nature’s beauty. So while we have divided the color spectrum into a limited number of colors for simplicity, the natural world has millions. You decide what the energy and uses of a particular crystal might be. The Color Wheel is only a good guide for you to use.
Now onto gold-colored crystals.
The vibrant mix of the enlightenment of pure yellow and the joyfulness of orange produces the king of colors: gold. It is the natural birthstone color of those born in the magical month of midsummer (July 22–August 21).
This is a time of the year when we rejoice in the energy of the sun and the growth it creates, which nourishes the body and the soul. The rays of a golden crystal fulfill us and give us the enthusiasm and excitement that makes life a wonderful adventure.
Gold is traditionally the color of kings, riches, and the sun. It is all this and more. Gold is as close to a magical color as it exists. It seems to touch a deep part of our minds, conjuring up images of mystical places, treasure, and adventure.
We instinctively seek this color. It makes us feel rich, secure, and successful. It is the color of many symbols of power and wealth.
Gold is the color of adventure, success, and power. Gold is the color of the earth that is fully alive in midsummer. It is the ray of rarity, bespeaking richness and natural value. It enriches the spirit, warms us like yellow, and cheers us like orange.
Gold is the high color, the crown of life. It is all life, sweet, warm—growing and reaching its peak. It is brilliant, sometimes blinding, but always tinged with awe and inspiration. Use golden crystals for adventure, encouraging ambition, growing and maintaining enthusiasm, and liveliness, and easing financial worries.
In darker shades, the golden crystals have a deeper and more pronounced sense of devotion and commitment, providing us with mature enthusiasm and the ability to share a lifelong commitment of care and love.
They provide us with the power to lead projects, organizations, and efforts to success. Most importantly, darker shades of gold are the ultimate power crystals. They exude authority, control, leadership, success, and influence. Use them for establishing authority, gaining fame and influence, and gaining material wealth and success.
Pale gold crystals, like spun flax, offer us the power of toned-down exuberance—they are the crystals of happiness, cheerfulness, and contentment. Crystals that possess a light gold color ray provide us with the pleasures life can offer in simple things.
Pale gold crystals like Golden Beryl, Citrine, and the mineral Gold are the best all-around crystals when just improving overall happiness and contentment is your goal. These are the crystals of cheerfulness, confidence, happiness, satisfaction, and overcoming pessimism.
Most of the minerals that form yellow crystals also form golden ones. Sometimes there are inclusions in clear crystals that make the crystal have a golden color. The best-known of these is Rutile.
Rutile in Quartz is a beautiful crystal often used by healers for its golden hue. Here are a few more golden-colored crystals and stones used in healing: Golden Topaz, Pyrite, the metal Gold, and Golden Amber.
Golden Topaz
Golden Topaz embraces the nobility of spirit, status, personal will, and ability to manifest one’s desires. It activates the Base, Sacral, and Solar Plexus Chakras. It is a stone of creativity and intention; generating abundance within the context of what is appropriate for one’s highest path.
Like a battery, it can recharge one spiritually and physically, boosting faith and optimism, and increasing one’s confidence, self-worth, and pride in one’s abilities without inflating the ego.
This stone is beneficial to those seeking fame or overcoming limitations in order to implement great plans as it increases one’s charisma and attracts helpful people while inspiring one to remain generous and open-hearted.
The energies of Golden Topaz move slowly, making it ideal for enhancing relaxation and stimulating feelings of peace. It is an excellent crystal for meditation and connecting to the Divine, Ascended Masters, and Archangels.
Pyrite
Pyrite supports the ideal of perfect health and well-being, drawing on universal energies to activate the nourishing energies of the body.
In healing, it often gets fast results and can be beneficial in cases where no resolution seems possible. It is known for bringing out the cause of diseases for examination and is helpful in getting to the root of karmic and psychosomatic diseases.
Pyrite is a crystal of positive energy and is extremely helpful for melancholy and thoughts fixed on misfortune and despair.
It relieves anxiety and frustration, and as a mirror to the self, it reveals the causes behind these emotions and promotes a search for solutions.
Pyrite also allows one to see beyond pretense, what truly lies behind words and actions. It provides the insight that often things that disturb us in others are also present in us.
Pyrite’s energy is empowering to the spirit, encouraging one to overcome fears and take action. It increases one’s will to accomplish whatever tasks one sets out to do and can be used to bring one out of one’s shell, becoming more dynamic and confident.
Gold
Gold is considered by some healers to be the "master healer and purifier". The energy of Gold can be used to balance energy fields and give one a sense of mastery. It is used to augment and amplify the energies of other crystals. It is often used to cure serious unbalances in the Solar Plexus Chakra.
While you might not have crystals of gold to use in healing, you might well have a Gold ring or chain. Use them in your healing practice. They are excellent at combatting feelings of inadequacy and mobilizing your efforts to attain your rightful spirit to succeed materially in this world.
Amber
Wear or carry Amber when recovering from an illness or injury to increase vitality and draw on one’s own essential strength and desire for wellness. Its vibration of life force brings warmth to the inner being and imparts more of this energy into the system. Amber may also be used to achieve longevity and is a marvelous gem for the elderly to ensure a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
Amber heals and supports the emotional body by drawing off the negative energies that steal one’s optimism and drive for life and replacing them with an empowering frequency conducive to positive change.
It is ideal for those battling suicidal tendencies, or addictions, or who struggle with depression, anxiety, or seasonal affective disorder to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Amber helps remove the obstacles we place in our own way, as well as deflecting the negative energies of others. It lends the courage to set boundaries with friends, colleagues, or family, and to recognize it is safe to be powerful in loving ways.
Using Golden Crystals for Healing

Pyrite Energizer Spray
If you work in an office then you can understand how much energy is mentally required to sit and work for hours on end. Coffee is a useful source of such energy, along with energy drinks or anything that contains caffeine. However, a healthy alternative for focus and concentration during long work days is crystals.
Crystals such as Pyrite not only revamp and uplift the energies within a certain space, it also stimulate creativity. Using Pyrite in the home or workplace energizes the area around it and imparts an immediate increase in vitality. It overcomes intellectual fatigue due to overwork and tiredness of the nervous system by stimulating blood flow to the brain, increasing mental clarity, focus, and recall.
Ingredients
- 5 drops peppermint essential oil
- 5 drops of wild orange essential oil
- 2 drops frankincense essential oil
- 1 cup pyrite water (instructions included in the post - but omitted here for brevity)
- 1 amber-colored glass spray bottle
Directions
- Combine ingredients in an amber-colored spray bottle and gently swirl in a clockwise fashion. When needed, spray around you, in your home, work environment, or any area to stimulate focus and concentration. (By the way, this really works well and is highly recommended.)

Lesson 4 - Crystal Healing (part 8)
As we travel around the Color Wheel of Life, we now come to the color orange. Orange is the most amazing color. It is one of nature’s most powerful colors.
It is a color that nature uses on a vast canvas.
It is the color of the true birthstones of those born at the end of summer (August 22–September 22).
The passion of the red ray has an almost multiplicative effect on the orange ray as it combines with the happy elements of gold.
Orange is the color of joy and friendship.
Joy is a pure emotion, an elusive one, but a heartfelt one. Often as people grow older, they lose the capacity for experiencing pure joy. It can be a simple delight or a deep, lasting feeling.
If something seems to be missing but you can’t really describe it, perhaps a bit of orange mixed in your daily life is needed.
Orange
Orange is a happy, outgoing, and sharing color. It brings things and people together. It integrates the parts of our communal lives. It is then the color of the "home stone", the "village stone", and the "community stone".
The strength of the red rays joined with the powerful fire of the gold rays gives the orange crystals the power to combine, integrate, and unite. Orange is the color of physical pleasure. Use orange crystals and stones for celebration, enjoyment, fulfillment, joy, merriment, and pleasure.
In lighter shades, orange is the color ray of friendship.
Use crystals of muted orange to find new friends, keep in touch with lifetime friends, and find ways to keep friendships alive. Light orange is the color ray of companionship, loyalty, charm, encouragement, praise, sharing, and affection.
It is a very powerful ray, and crystals that possess it are particularly valuable. Light orange crystals are the crystals of companionship, encouragement, friendship, generosity, kindness, loyalty, popularity, and overcoming shyness.
Darker shades of orange deepen the sense of belonging and home. If you are lucky enough to find a powerful deep orange stone, use it as a "home stone" by placing it centrally in your house to ensure the hospitality of your home and hearth.
To keep a family happy together, a team working well, or a congregation united, a dark orange crystal is perfect. Use dark orange crystals when you are focusing on benevolence, community, family, home, marriage, a sense of belonging; or dealing with abandonment, homesickness, or separation.

Fire Agate
Fire Agate has a deep connection to the earth and brings strong grounding energy. It calms, bringing security trust, and support in difficult times. Its protective properties build a shield around the body against ill wishes, returning the harm back to its source, so the source may understand its effects.
Fire Agate provides the motivation required to overcome harmful addictions, lending courage and confidence, and preventing exhaustion that often accompanies such changes.
Agate is beneficial in self-analysis and uncovering hidden circumstances that might interfere with well-being. It promotes self-acceptance and confidence, encouraging the speaking of one's own truth. Agate overcomes negativity and bitterness of the heart by healing anger, fostering love, and lending the courage to start over. It is useful for any kind of trauma.
Carnelian
Carnelian is a form of Quartz that often forms beautiful orange stones. Carnelians are excellent aids for training, coordination of physical exercise programs, and balancing body energy levels. Carnelians boost a listless attitude and can stimulate the appetite.
Used as a professional support crystal, Carnelian aids architects, builders, and construction workers in their creation of master buildings, stimulates power and stamina in athletes and military personnel, establishes form and organization in journalists, and stimulates motivation in salespersons.
Carnelian is a stabilizing crystal, perfect for anchoring in the present. Its high energy helps restore lost vitality and motivation and stimulates creativity for new pursuits. It improves concentration and removes extraneous thoughts in daydreamers and during meditation.
This stone also protects against envy, rage, and resentment - yours, or from others, and encourages a love of life. It is useful for overcoming abuse of any kind, helping you to trust yourself and your perceptions.
Carnelian alleviates jealousy and possessiveness in relationships and is helpful in overcoming sexual anxieties and eating disorders. It is also beneficial with the male mid-life crisis.
Orange Calcite
Orange Calcite is a crystal of integration. Use it to bring the spiritual world’s influences into yours. Use it to deal with many emotional issues, particularly those of lacking joy or happiness.
This is one of the crystals that is very helpful in curing apathy or listlessness.
Orange Calcite is readily available and not expensive. It is an excellent choice for balancing the sacral chakra, gaining the benefits of the orange ray in meditation, and for work to find and keep friendships together and families in harmony.
Spessartine Garnet
Known as the Garnet of the Sun, Spessartine is one of the lesser-known and rarer varieties of Garnet. Its energizing warmth radiates in shades of dark gold, orange, scarlet, and deep red.
The energy emitted by Spessartine promotes feelings of happiness from within and aids in making life more fulfilling. This crystal will assist all who have difficulty making themselves seen and/or heard within group situations, whether work, family, or leisure.
It helps one to talk about and clearly oppressing and embarrassing things regarded as taboos. Spessartine assists in overcoming the fear of new experiences and encourages one to be more impulsive, spontaneous, and intuitive. It helps alleviate the fear of failure and gives the confidence to take new paths and change one's life.
Orange Aventurine
Orange Aventurine is a form of quartz that is quite attractive and, like orange calcite, not expensive. It comes from a number of places around the world. It is often made into tumbled stones that make it very useful in healing.
Orange Aventurine is called by some the "whisper stone" because it is known to help quiet an inner voice that is being negative.
When you need confidence in yourself, Orange Aventurine is an excellent crystal for adding confidence. It is also an excellent choice for celebrations and joyful occasions. Use it to celebrate your success or to enhance efforts to find joy in your life. It is one of the best stones for rebalancing and opening the Sacral Chakra.
The Sacral Chakra
The Sacral Chakra or Second Chakra is located below the naval and above the pubic bone at the front of the pelvis. It controls the flow of energy and is the center of gravity of the body. It is the center of the Life Force of the body.
It is the reservoir of the life force and all life flows out from the sacral chakra. It controls the flow of information from the body to the mind and from the mind to the body. Gut feelings, intuition, and other "non-linear" communication come from this chakra.
When it is out of balance the symptoms will manifest themselves as confusion, over-dependency on others, repression of feelings, inability to feel joy, fear of sensuality or sex, and frustration and bitterness.
When it is in balance you have grace, feel pleasure in life, enjoy yourself, play, and find you are flexible in both body and mind. You can "go with the flow" of your life and times and do so in good spirits.
Treat imbalance with orange or gold crystals to unblock the energy flow and restore your sense of balance understanding and appreciation of your place in life.
Augment the crystal therapy with yoga exercises that emphasize balance. Engage in creative activities, such as painting, writing, composing, and acting to free up the creative energy, and of course, nothing will help as much as getting out on flowing water and reconnecting with the flow of nature.

Carnelian Etheric Body Layout
Giving healing energy to the etheric body will greatly accelerate the repair of physical tissues and may prevent other imbalances from gravitating in the physical body. The etheric levels are those that often tend to become misaligned from the physical body after shock and trauma. If this mismatch can’t correct itself, the physical body loses some of its organizational flexibility, which can allow disease to take hold.Such etheric body dislocation may be the reason why in so many cases a serious period of illness follows a few months after significant shock. - One Carnelian is placed at the throat and one above the top of the head.
- At the level of the sacral chakra, a Carnelian is placed on each side of the body.
- The remaining two stones are put on the midline of the body, one between the legs at about mid-calf level and the last stone near the ankles.
