Full Moon Ritual with Crystals + Full Moon Calendar for 2022
The Full Moon brings a time of heightened intuition and enhanced psychic ability. It is one of the best times for spells and rituals to be done. Crystals for the Full Moon
There are two crystals that are very much associated with and connected to the moon. These are Moonstone and Selenite. While both work well when needing any type of lunar energy, Selenite is particularly useful in capturing lunar energy and distributing it.
Any shape and size of Selenite will work. Crystals do not have to sit on top of it to take advantage of its charging and healing vibrations, they just need to be nearby.
We recommend using your Selenite with Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Black Tourmaline. If you're curious as to why you can read more below. Otherwise, you can skip down to the directions below that.
Boosting Crystals with Selenite
Giving all of your crystals an energy boost under the full moon might be a little impractical. Plus, if they aren't meant to hold a lot of energy, they may be gone within a week or after one use. Selenite allows you to boost one crystal under the full moon and essentially use it as a crystal battery for a month until the next full moon.
Adding 1-4 crystals along with the Selenite can actually allow it to absorb some of the healing energy of those crystals in the moonlight. We have tried and tested several different crystals using this method and our favorite is a combination of Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Black Tourmaline.
Amethyst brings the energy of intuition, creativity, and inspiration. It connects to the mind and is commonly referred to as an all-healer. Rose Quartz brings the energy of love, nurturing, and calmness. Finally, Black Tourmaline brings the energy of grounding and protection. This triad of energies is perfectly transmitted to the Selenite during its full moon charge. However, you can choose whichever combination of crystals you feel would work best for you.
Simple Full Moon Ritual
This simple full moon ritual is not only easy but incredibly effective. You only need one Selenite crystal for an entire month of crystal energy and positive, influential vibrations. You can use up to 4 additional crystals during the ritual to impart some of their healing energy into the Selenite.
Here is a list of what you will need for this ritual:
- a piece of Selenite
- 1-4 additional crystals (optional, we recommend Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Black Tourmaline)
Directions:
- At dusk as the full moon begins to rise, place your Selenite crystal outside where it will receive some moonlight.
- Place your Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Black Tourmaline (or whatever crystals you are using) on top of the Selenite. If you're not using a charging block, just bundle the crystals together.
- Leave crystals outside 2-3 hours or overnight if possible.
After you have boosted your Selenite, it is good until the next full moon to charge your crystals and surroundings.
You will be able to use the crystals you placed outside with the Selenite at least 1-2 times before needing to recharge them with the Selenite. If you don't keep your crystals near the Selenite all the time, you can put them together for 30 minutes to boost them back up.
