DESCRIPTION: In the pursuit of obtaining these crystals for the first time, “Ishiko” was overheard by the miners speaking in Bemba. They continuously repeated this word which means ‘Fire Place’ owing to the red of fire. We heard the word as Ishuko and started calling it that. As it turns out Ishuko means lucky so it was destiny. During the formation of these crystals, Hematite was deposited. As the crystal continued growing it left an amazing red, ochre-colored phantom that runs parallel to the faces of the crystal.
