Introduction to Meaning and Uses of Seraphinite
The beauty and energy of Seraphinite rises through the body’s chakras like the six-winged spirits of Light it is named for – the Seraphim, the highest order of angels who attend the throne of God. Their image, or that of their feathery wings, are captured in iridescent silver and suggests the movement of flight within a crystal of deep forest green.
This stone of angel wings is known for its high spiritual energy, ascending throughout the system and inviting the Kundalini to rise along the spine, clearing and activating each chakra along the way. It links the physical with the ethereal, and is powerful for opening communication with devic and angelic realms, especially those concerned with restoring the planet and humanity to a state of health and balance. [Ahsian, 353]
Seraphinite is particularly attuned to the Heart Chakra, infusing the aura with vibrations of wholeness and well-being, nurturing and love, enveloping not only those who wear or carry it, but also those who behold it. Seraphinite’s energies are feminine in tone, and may assist in experiencing a greater awareness of the Divine Feminine. [Simmons, 352]
Seraphinite is a gem variety of Clinochlore, a magnesium iron aluminum silicate, characterized by a deep green color laced with shimmering patterns of silver that reflect light with changing angles of viewing. It is found only in the Lake Baikal region of Siberia, Russia, and derives its name from its association with the Seraphim, the highest order of angels. It is also known as Serafina or Green Chlorite. [Simmons, 352]
Seraphinite Uses and Purposes – Overview
Seraphinite may be used alone or combined with acupuncture for removing blocked energies in the meridians of the body. [Simmons, 352]
Seraphinite harmonizes easily with the vibrations of other high-energy crystals for healing, meditation, and attunement with the angelic realm and nature spirits. [Simmons, 352]

Seraphinite Physical Healing Energy
Seraphinite energetically supports the heart and lungs, as well as any systemic illness or imbalance relating to cellular regeneration. It is a blood strengthener and aids in cellular respiration and the delivery of nutrients to the cells. It may be beneficial in decreasing the growth and reproduction of all types of cancerous cells. [Ahsian, 353]
Seraphinite aids in detoxification and strengthens the liver and kidneys. It stimulates metabolism and helps in weight loss, and is useful in overcoming chills. [Gienger, 78][Hall, 263]
Seraphinite activates the spinal cord and its links to the etheric body, especially behind the heart, and can release muscle tension up into the neck. [Hall, 263]
Seraphinite Emotional Healing Energy
Seraphinite assists in releasing emotional patterns and tendencies that no longer serve the soul and spirit. It brings an enlightened, joyful energy and allows one to react to life in a balanced, more harmonious way. [Ahsian, 353]
This stone, like all Clinochlores, encourages the appreciation of all that is growing – physically, emotionally or spiritually, and encourages the refinements of tenderness and care. It defines a sense of order – in life, in the universe, even in chaos – lending the understanding that one is neither helpless nor hopeless in the creation or correction of one’s personal reality. [Melody, 212]
Seraphinite enhances social skills and inspires better relationships. It aids in resolving conflicts, and promotes reconciliation and constructive compromise. [Gienger, 78][Melody, 212]
Seraphinite Chakra Healing and Balancing Energy
Seraphinite is a powerful stone for bringing the elements of nonphysical bodies into alignment with the “I am” column of the spinal cord. It is both centering and energizing at the same time, and though this stone may be utilized for any or all chakras, it is particularly attuned to the Heart Chakra. [Simmons, 352]
The Heart Chakra is located near the center of the breastbone and regulates our interaction with the external world, controlling what we embrace and what we resist. It gives us the balancing ability to be ourselves within the environment. When the Heart Chakra is out of balance you may feel either controlling or controlled in a relationship, and become critical of the little foibles of others. You may well find yourself having inappropriately strong emotional responses to everyday external stimuli. Green crystal energy is used to resolve blockages and to re-balance the Heart Chakra, helping us understand our own needs and emotions clearly. We can deal with the ebbs and flows of emotional relationships, understand their cyclic nature, and accept the changes.
Seraphinite Spiritual Energy
Seraphinite is one of the premier healing stones, a tool most efficient in bringing the body in line with Light energy. Ideal for those who feel disconnected from their physical selves, Seraphinite assists in understanding the nature of physicality as it brings Light into the body, expressing it through us as glowing health. [Ahsian, 353]
Seraphinite’s high spiritual vibration allows out-of-body journeys to review the progress of life, and to identify changes that may be needed for peace and fulfillment. Seraphinite protects the physical body while the Spirit is away. [Hall, 263]
Seraphinite Color Energy
Green Seraphinite is a “growth crystal” – a powerful conduit of the earth’s Life Force of birth, development, and creation, and of the power of nature’s constant renewal. It is a potent aid in nurturing, whether of fledgling family relationships or a new business venture. Seraphinite is perfect for keeping a venture on course, a project on schedule, and life on track. Green crystals promote spiritual growth and commitment to a higher purpose. Those of a darker hue are talismans of physical growth and strength, and safety in travel.
Meditation with Seraphinite
Seraphinite is a stone of enlightenment and one of the best crystals in meditation for making angelic connection. It is also excellent for activating self-healing. [Hall, 262]
Holding or meditating with a piece of Seraphinite may invite the presence of a female figure clothed in growing plants and flowers believed to be Sophia, the Goddess of Wisdom and the promise of the future. Her presence often inspires an instant reaction of devotional love and a realization that her presence in our world is a great blessing. Seraphinite assists in connection with this being, especially when used outdoors. [Simmons, 352]

Seraphinite and the Angelic Realm
Seraphinite is a deep forest green. It is the Stone of the Seraphim, the highest order of angels.
If your birthday falls in any of the following periods, a Seraphinite of the color listed can be a valuable conduit to your Guardian Angel. The table also provides the name of the Guardian Angel of those born in the time period.
There are other Angels that are partial to Seraphinite. The table below gives you information about them.
Seraphinite Goddess Crystals
Seraphinite honors Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom and contradiction personified. She is the story of being lost then regained, the wisdom of understanding, doubting, and spiritual exploration without dogma. She is the Feminine of the Divine and inspires reverence for the natural world.
Green crystals also honor Persephone, Greek Goddess of Spring. She represents celebration and the Earth alive with new growth.
Birthstones
There are several ways to find an appropriate birthstone. The traditional one is listed first. These are from the popular lists that most people are familiar with. The second way is to find your natural birthstone by the color wheel of life. You can click on the Natural Birthstone graphic below to learn more. Finally many people use the traditional stones of the Zodiac.
In this section you will find information on all three approaches.
Seraphinite Traditional Birthstone
Seraphinite is not a traditional birthstone
Seraphinite Natural Birthstone.
Seraphinite which is green in color is one of the natural birthstones of those fortunate enough to be born in the heart of spring (April 20 – May 20). Green crystals bring you renewal, success in new ventures, and good health.
Seraphinite – In the Zodiac
Seraphinite is not associated with any sign of the Zodiac.
Seraphinite Amulets and Talismans
Seraphinite is a Guardian Bonder crystal. The Guardian talismans rarely reveal their inner strength by forming transparent crystals, but rather hide their strength behind an opaque mask, obscuring the power they possess. In the physical world they are fantastic amulets for travel, protecting your loved ones, your possessions, and your physical security. In the spiritual world, Guardian crystals have special uses. They serve to guard your beliefs against doubt. A Guardian crystal can help you keep true to your ideals and cherished beliefs, reinforcing your strength of character. The Guardian crystals can also protect your spirits during trying and difficult times. They can be very effective in aiding your efforts to maintain your disposition, sense of humor, and respect for others.
Bonder crystals, called sheet silicates or phylosilicates, form in very cohesive sheets and are excellent talismans for binding relationships and agreements. Their power is well-suited for getting people to work together and forming relationships that get better with age. They increase the success of long-term contracts, and help keep families, communities and organizations together.
Seraphinite Feng Shui
Seraphinite utilizes Wood Energy, the energy of growth, expansion, new beginnings, nourishment and health. It enhances vitality, brings abundance, and keeps us growing physically. Use green crystals to enhance any space used for eating, in the room of a small child, or in a place of your home where you are beginning a new project. Wood energy is traditionally associated with the East and Southeast areas of a home or room. It is associated with the Family and Health area, and the Prosperity and Abundance area.
Seraphinite in Ancient Lore and Legend
Seraphinite is a relatively new discovery. Historically it was used as an amulet to prevent snake bites.
