The inner circle of the Medicine Wheel immediately surrounds the Creator Stone.

It has seven stones. The first three stones give life and vision to the Creation for us: Father Sun, Earth Mother, and Grandmother Moon.

Then it is completed with the four Clan stones of mankind: Thunderbird ClanFrog Clan, Turtle Clan, and Butterfly Clan.

About Grandmother Moon

Grandmother Moon Stone Location on The Native American Medicine Wheel
Moonstone is used for the Grandmother Moon Location

In many cultures, if not most, the moon is the leader of feminine life.

It is a luminary in the sky, but produces no light, rather it reflects that of Father Sun.

It is subtle, where Father Sun is direct.  Grandmother Moon measures time, guides our cycles, gives us wonder and night shadows.

She balances Father Sun, giving us mystery, emotions, and intuition as she does.  She is passive, fertile, and feminine. She is the night, giving us the tides and time for all purposes.

Grandmother Moon is ruled by the element of Water. She makes the tides.  She is the queen of the night and night active animals of the world.

Grandmother Moon’s color is silver; her crystal totem is moonstone.
